Heart disease, the Number One Killer; Prevention and Treatment

| The Minnesota Chinese Physician Association will host a public education seminar on September 18, 2004. Dr. Jian-Ming Li, a practicing cardiologist (heart doctor), will be the speaker. The title of his seminar is "Heart disease, the Number One Killer; Prevention and Treatment". The purpose of this seminar is to educate the local Chinese people on some of the most urgent health issues facing middle age and elderly Chinese in the Twin Cities. In addition to his seminar, he will have a live demonstration on how to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) in case of your loved one having a cardiac arrest. In the situation of cardiac arrest, every second counts. Therefore, you should be prepared for it. It is quite simple to learn. The whole seminar should last about 45 minutes, followed by question period and the live demonstration on cardiopulmonary resuscitation. |
