AMCP Fundraising Against COVID-19 Pandemic

COVID-19 is now a global pandemic and has occurred in all 50 states of our country. It can cause severe acute respiratory syndrome and pose serious health threat to our family, friends and health care providers. As this disease has been spreading across Minnesota and local communities, our courageous and dedicated medical professionals and first responders face severe shortage of personal protective equipment and lack of resources. Therefore, the Associations of Minnesota Chinese Physicians (AMCP) has organized a task force and asks your donation and support to fight COVID-19.

The AMCP URGENTLY needs your donation NOW to help us buy personal protective equipment (PPE) for our frontline health professionals and patients. Every donation you make, big or small, counts! This is your opportunity to save people’s lives! Please take your action, DONATE NOW!

The Association of Minnesota Chinese Physicians (AMCP) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization: Tax ID 41-2110502. Every dollar received for COVID-19 relief fund will go toward the purchase of PPEs and toward supporting our front line health care, free of charge.

Who are the people in AMCP?

We are Minnesota Chinese physicians on the front-line in hospitals and clinics of different health care systems (Allina, HealthPartners, M Health Fairview, Mayo, North Memorial, Hennepin Healthcare, among others). We have also included in our organization pharmacists, nursing staff, acupuncturists, professors and scientists at the universities, as well as medial industries.

What does AMCP do?

The AMCP has served the community with monthly free clinics, promoting public engagement on disease prevention and healthy living by providing education programs held in the community regularly.

What is the function of AMCP during COVID 19-pandemic?

The Chinese immigrants in medical profession are in a unique position in this fight against COVID-19 pandemic. We have been closely monitoring the condition since it started in Wuhan, have humbly received large amount of information from our colleagues who fought it in the heart of the pandemic in China. Many of us have been following closely as the disease spreads viciously and ruthlessly to the rest of the world, and as it invades our homeland in Minnesota. As front line physicians and other medical professionals in various Minnesota hospitals and clinics, we understand what is needed while working with our medical colleagues, leaders, and patients.

The AMCP is geared to make best use of our professional skills to assist our government / health care system leaders on policy making to minimize any human loss and sufferings.

The AMCP is asking for your donation to support AMCP "COVID-19 Relief Fund." We will use the money to buy medical protective equipments for our front line professionals and patients in the early stage of the battle when supply is still in severe shortage. We plan to position our organization to be able to support our front line medical professionals if the condition deteriorates by establishing support systems, such as helping establish reliable childcare, food service, and transportation lines, etc.
